   ► Keith Arnold wins the Governor's 2005 Virginia Fire Services

    Award for Excellence in Virginia Fire & Life Safety Education. The

    presentation will be presented on Friday, Feb. 24th, 2006 at 6 o'clock PM

    during the Opening Ceremonies of the 2006 Virginia Fire Chief's

    Association Mid-Atlantic Expo & Symposium at the Virginia Beach

    VFLSC Partners With VDH on "Get Alarmed, Virginia !" program:

  The Get Alarmed, Virginia! program is funded by a state-secured federal

  grant from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Since its

  implementation, the Get Alarmed, Virginia! program has been credited with

  saving the lives of more than 66 men, women and children across the

  Commonwealth of Virginia and with preventing millions of dollars in property

  loss. The program provides: smoke detectors, funding to purchase

  equipment for installing alarms (ladders, drills, etc.), educational materials

  (brochures, posters, videos), program promotion materials (t-shirts,

  signs/banners, media packets). Click here to learn more about Get Alarmed,

    VFLSC and VDH/CIVP Injury Prevention Network to hold a series

         of mini-conferences in Norfolk March 7~8, in Richmond April 4~5,
