This week marked the 19th anniversary of Station Night Club Fire in West Warwick, Rhode Island that destroyed the building and killed 100 people. It was the fourth deadliest fire in a nightclub in United States history. A survivor returned to the scene to tell his story in the video to the right.
The takeaway from this tragedy is the importance of having an exit plan in case of emergency. The best way out may not be the way you came in. When you enter an unfamiliar building, plan your escape route by taking note of at least two exits.
